The photos above are the REAL look of a classic Arabian horse. These horse came directly to the USA from Saudi Arabia or are only one generation from it.
Saudi Arabian is where Abbas Pasha and Muhammadi Ali got their best Arabian horses and I should ad pure Arabian horses as well.
It was not up to the Arabian bedouins as to who made the breeding descisions of their horses once they went to Egypt and where the Albanian Muhammad Ali started changing the look of the REAL desert horse or his descendant Abbas Pasha.
With all the information at our fingertips available to the reader who wishes to fine the truth I am still amazed that people continue to insist that an Egyptian arabian is the"classic Arabian". Take a look at the photos above. These are a sample of what "classic Arabian" horses looked like from where the Egyptians got their horses.
You are so right. The `jibbah` was found in `some` of the original horses to a very mild degree, as compared to the deformed look it has taken in modern times through breeding specifically for that trait, for `show`. Man strikes again, ruining a breed for a popular look. The Jibbah was never `bred for` in ancient times in Arabia.
